Sneaker Cleaners started in a Chicago garage with a single pair of grail Jordans that a dry cleaner had ruined. The lesson was simple: sneakers are not laundry. They are built from leather, suede, knit, foam and translucent rubber — materials that each fail differently when they're treated the same.

Today we run a dedicated sneaker-care studio on South Michigan Avenue. Every pair is cleaned by hand by a trained technician, photographed at intake and completion, and passes a quality-control check before it leaves. Nothing goes in a washing machine. Ever.
